Colorado Mule Deer Association Women's Hunts

The Colorado Mule Deer Association (CMDA) is dedicated to promoting responsible hunting, wildlife conservation, and community engagement. A major way the association supports these goals is by funding Women’s Hunts, offering women of all skill levels the chance to experience hunting, learn wildlife management, and connect with a supportive community.

Women's Hunt

Funds raised through CMDA events, including the Annual Banquet, go directly to these hunts. This financial support allows for well-organized trips, professional instruction, and safe experiences that help participants build confidence, learn sustainable hunting practices, and enjoy the sport responsibly.

Guided hunts take place on private and public lands with experienced mentors, offering both beginners and seasoned hunters the opportunity to refine their skills. Participants gain knowledge in tracking, marksmanship, and ethical hunting practices, all while fostering camaraderie and a sense of shared stewardship for Colorado’s wildlife.

Educational Workshop

Beyond the field experience, CMDA Women’s Hunts include educational workshops covering wildlife biology, habitat management, and the role of regulated hunting in maintaining ecological balance. This integrated approach ensures participants not only enjoy the hunt but also understand the importance of conservation and ethical wildlife management.

The funds raised also support habitat improvement projects, such as replanting native vegetation, maintaining water sources, and managing forests to enhance forage for mule deer. By connecting hunting experiences with habitat conservation, CMDA ensures that both wildlife and participants benefit.

Mentorship in Hunting

These programs empower women to become ambassadors for responsible hunting and conservation, inspiring others in their communities. By fostering inclusivity and education, CMDA strengthens the next generation of hunters and conservation advocates while protecting Colorado’s iconic mule deer for years to come.
